What will be your impact during your Data Science internship?
AnalitiQs turns data into insights, thus creating value for clients: Turning data into profit! AnalitiQs is focussed on People issues.
As a Data Science intern you will be doing research into this type of issues that we encounter among our clients. This includes issues such as:
- What is the impact of Agile working on employees?
- How will employee engagement develop over the next 36 months?
- To what extent is the absenteeism process monitored, what are the opportunities for optimisation and what are the consequences of any deviations?
- Is there gender bias in the recruitment process?
- Which internal employees are the most suitable for a vacancy?
- How does a person’s actual salary compare to what would be expected of them based on all kinds of background variables?
By answering these types of questions, you help organisations to improve their performance and employees to unleash their potential.
Who are you?
- You have a passion for data, programming, statistics/machine learning and research.
- You are in the final year of your university degree programme.
- You are interested in employee and organisational issues.
- You have experience with R and/or Python and preferably a visualisation tool, such as Power BI.
- You are enterprising, creative, flexible, result-oriented, accurate, and you have good social skills.
- Excellent proficiency in English and Dutch, both written and spoken.
- You get the best out of yourself in an environment that challenges you to step outside of your comfort zone and learn new things.
What do we offer during your Data Science internship?
- Together we formulate your internship assignment, within the framework that the topic must be relevant to AnalitiQs and you must be available for a minimum period of 6 months for at least 4 days a week.
- The best of both worlds: a small company with great responsiveness working for big brands such as Aegon, ASML, Stedin, Triodos, NS, Asics and Jumbo.
- A generous trainee allowance (EUR 500 per month) and training courses worth several thousands of euros.
- 20 holidays
- Supervision by an experienced Data Scientist.
- We are an enterprising and ambitious organisation, but sociability and cooperation are at least as important to us. For example, we have weekly Friday afternoon drinks, a quarterly team day, excellent free coffee and a joint lunch.
- Our office is located within the ring of Amsterdam and is easily accessible by public transport. There is no need to come to the office every day, but you are of course more than welcome to do so.

Because AnalitiQs continuously delivers a high quality of service and because the Data & Analytics market is ‘hot’, the company has been growing rapidly. The AnalitiQs team, which has already grown to 20 people in five years, is diverse and will continue to grow in 2020. Our employees have backgrounds ranging from Biology to Business Administration and work experience ranging from one to thirty years.
We work for major brands at home and abroad. In our own office, we work in small groups, in an informal and approachable setting. The lines are short, leading to great responsiveness and entrepreneurship!

For six months, I worked as a Data Scientist intern at AnalitiQs. During my internship I worked alongside the team. In addition, I was conducting thesis research for my Master in Data Science and Society at Tilburg University. By allowing me to graduate and gain practical work experience, I was able to kill two birds with one stone! It was the ideal combination for me.
The nice team and the fact that I could start right away made me feel very welcome. As an intern, I helped to compile reports, process data and conduct research. These responsibilities gave me a sense of confidence and self-assurance. In addition, I developed valuable knowledge and skills that will certainly be useful in my future career. The solid supervision – which included several fixed meetings per week that left room for all of my questions – felt good. All in all, I look back on a very fun and especially instructive time at AnalitiQs!
