Vacancy for a Data Engineer / BI Developer

Are you looking to put your data skills to meaningful use and work for major brands without entering the dynamics of large corporates? Then this is the perfect job for you!

Your impact as a People Data Engineer / BI Developer?

Suppose you can work magic with data. And suppose that you can choose between a role that is all about generating more clicks on a website or one that allows you to positively contribute to the lives of people and the performance of businesses by creating state-of-the-art dashboards. Which role would you prefer?

People Data Engineer / BI Developer

As a People Data Engineer / BI Developer you focus on people issues and organisational issues. These issues relate to the entire employee lifecycle, from attracting people to developing them, rewarding them and finally letting them go. They may also involve workforce planning (i.e. how many people with which competencies are needed at a particular moment so as to realise the organisation’s plans?) and organisational structure (e.g. how many layers are optimal? what is the best span of control for managers?)

In order to answer questions regarding these themes, a Data Engineer makes data from HR systems – such as data from the personnel and salary administration, the talent management suite or employee surveys – accessible in the big data platform. But your job does not stop there! These typical HR datasets are complemented by data from financial, operational, marketing and sales systems. You will also carry out transformations on the data included in the big-data platform. Finally, in your role as BI Developer, you will create visualised dashboards that take just a few clicks to produce the necessary insights on people in the organisation.

As a People Data Engineer / BI Developer you play a key role in many People Analytics projects. Depending on your work experience, you will assume more of a leading role in your team and in client contact. As a senior, you decide on the methodological and technological approach. As a junior, you will be working under the inspirational guidance of a senior. As a medior, you will be anywhere in between.
